Still a working film and TV studio as well as a theme park, MGM offers a host of rides shows and tours. The park is probably in direct competition with Universal Studios, but believe me, both parks have unmissable entertainment. The main attractions at MGM are detailed below.

Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 
Based on the spooky TV programme , the Twilight Zone, you're strapped into an Elevator and cranked up thirteen storeys of the tower. You can probably guess what happens next. Don't forget where you left your stomach!

Star Tours 

C3PO at Star Tours

Star Tours is a fun simulator ride where you take a journey with a trainee pilot robot. Be prepared for plenty of bumping around as the hapless robot ries to get you back to base. Kids (and adults) will love the entrance to the simulator with its full size C3PO, R2D2 and other droids.

Rock 'n' Roll Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith 
An indoor inverting roller-coaster that thrill seekers will love. Climb aboard your cadillac carriage and hurtle through Los Angeles to Aerosmith music.   

Fantasmic
A 'must see' at MGM is Fantasmic. This is a fabulous show shown at dusk in the park, featuring some great affects and stunning music. Be warned, get to Fantasmic early as the crowds build up an hour before the show starts.

The Great Movie Ride
This ride is a tour through scenes of many of Hollywoods greatest movie scenes including the Wizard of Oz and Alien. Your host on the ride tells you interesting facts along the way, and also get a little more involved with some of the movie scenes!

The Backlot Tour 
Take a journey around the backlot of MGM to view a host of props from famous TV programmes and films. You will also see Catastrophe Canyon, a demonstration on how special effects are put together. On the way out of the tour, you exit into the American Film Institute Showcase which has some great props and costumes you'll all recognise.

The Magic of Disney Animation 
A tour, which lets you view the Disney Animators at work on the latest cartoons.

Voyage of the Little Mermaid 
A live performance of the story of the Little Mermaid. Features songs from the film sang by Ariel and accompanied by a host of puppet friends.

Playhouse Disney - Live on Stage 
Another live performance that is great for the pre-schooler's. This show features alll the Playhouse favourites including The Book of Pooh, Rolie Polie Olie, Stanley and the Bear in the Big Blue House.

Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular 
This is a hugely enjoyable show, based on the Indy movies. The show goes threw a host of spectacular stunts on this 'mock' movie set. Members of the audience also get the opportunity to take part in the film.o

Who Wants to be a Millionaire 
This show give you the chance to take part in the popular TV quiz show. Contestants play for points instead of $, but its still as thrilling for the person in the hot-seat.

And some of the rest 
Honey I Shrunk the Kids is a fun playground for kids, where the theming lets the kids imagine they have been shrunk.

ABC Sound Studio 'Sounds Dangerous' starring Drew Carey is a show experienced with the lights out to make the most of the sound effects.

Walt Disney One Man's Dream. A film dedicated to Walt that chronical's Walts achievements.

Beauty and the Beast - Live on Stage is a similar show to the Voyage of the Little Mermaid, giving live highlights and songs from the Movie.

The daily parade at MGM is the Disney Stars and Cars Motorcade. Many of the disney characters take to their vintage and replica cars and tour the park.
